Senatus Bulletin July 2018

The 824th Cincinnati Regional Senatus meeting began at 2:00 pm on  Sunday July 22nd 2018..  The meeting was located at St. Matthias Church, 1050 West Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45240.  President Sister Bridgett Redding was presiding officer.


Spiritual Reading & Rosary were led by Sister Bridgett Redding.  The reading was from the Legion of Mary Hand book, Chapter 28, page  153.


Minutes of the  June  meeting were read and approved by Sister Charmaine.


Treasurer Report was given by Sr. Jean Palanci.  The balance on hand for   June 24th, 2018 was $ 4,477.65.  The following councils made donations:  Cleveland, Ohio Comitium  $300.00 and Nashville, Tenn . Comitium $300.00 The following praesidia donated $50.00- Arc of the Covenant.  Balance on hand after expenses:  $4,314.86 as of July 22nd, 2018.

Allocutio :  Was given by Sister Gloria Dodd on referencing the handbook  page 152, pg. 1-8.

Jean Palanci’s term is up. Next meeting we have election of Senatus Treasurer.

Maria Legionis Report– Sr. Marilyn Hagge read about Chief Dan George- End of an  Era, page 11 of the May-June-Ju;y magazine.

Alfie Lambe Report-  Brother Ed Arnold read Chapter 24, pages 97-99.


Other Business:


Extension Work :   Brother Steve Goodman reported that:

  • Cleveland, Ohio moved the PPC scheduled for Sept. 2018 to the Fall of 2019.
  • Visited the Pastor at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero, IN and gave him information on starting the Legion in his parish.
